NOTES:
The newest supa-dupa group with Josh and Alain of Queens of the Stone Age, Dave of Foo Fighters/Nirvana fame and the legendary John Paul Jones formerly of Led Zeppelin. The last show of the North American leg of their first tour, it was a cold, rainy evening in NYC and rumor has it that it sold out by show time. With this kind of star power on one stage I'm pretty surprised that didn't happen shortly after tickets went on sale. In a day and age of collaborations that, more often than not, fall flat or are a complete train wreck, Them Crooked Vultures are definitely a case of musical talents meshing wonderfully and the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. They rocked hard, crushed it and topped it all off with the 12+ minute tour-de-force set ender, "Warsaw". Song titles and track cuts might not be entirely accurate, but without a commercial release I don't have much to go on. If you like what you hear as much as we did, make it a point to check these guys out when they play your town. Enjoy and PLAY IT LOUD!!
